I went to art school, where I was introduced to Painting and Drawing Practices, under the excellent mentorship of Angela Fraleigh.

I also fell in love with photography and traditional darkroom processes.

Both would later form largely who I am today

It was a term paper on a favorite local artist that led me to working with Bill.

Under him I learned the basics of project management and furniture design, while also designing and fabricating industrial themed furniture utilizing Bethlehem Steel I-Beams and foundry patterns.

I apprenticed for metal worker and sculptor Steve Condra, an incredible German artist. He would later go on to form JHF Enterprises, fabricating various architectural details and fixtures through out New York City and Allentown.

I left to pursue other opportunities and interned as an engineering tech. I wore quite a few hats, establishing quality control protocols, shipping, process improvements, material testing and site visits

I was a tool maker, producing, repairing the master molds for mannequins. I had light departmental duties, in addition to my day to day. Ordering supplies, assisting in inventory checks, etc. Notable clients included Nike, Target, Dillards and so on.

I felt I needed to learn more for what I really wanted to do:

So I studied Industrial Design. While there I not only learned design processes but also a love of story telling, branding and design language. I would complete my degree mentoring under Paolo Grazioli.

What started as a one month contract for Poppi evolved into a 6 month boot camp in project management. I oversaw projects from design to completion, with premium brands like COACH, STARFACE, BOTTEGA VENETA and RALPH LAUREN.
